Day 1 of 6
Arrival & The Ancient Rock Citadel
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) and meet your Serandiva Travels representative. Journey straight to the Cultural Triangle. In the afternoon, climb the magnificent 5th-century rock fortress of Sigiriya Lion Rock to take in views over the surrounding jungle.
- Morning: Airport pickup and transfer to Sigiriya (approx. 3.5 hours).
- Afternoon: Guided climb of Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress.
- Evening: Hotel check-in and evening at leisure. Sigiriya or Dambulla.
Day 2 of 6
Cave Temples & The Royal Capital
Begin the morning exploring the complex of rock caves at Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with ancient Buddha statues and ceiling murals. Next, drive south to Kandy, stopping at a spice garden along the route. In the evening, visit Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic) to witness the daily evening ritual.
- Morning: Exploration of Dambulla Cave Temple.
- Midday: Scenic drive to Kandy via Matale spice garden.
- Evening: Visit Sri Dalada Maligawa during the evening poya drum ceremony.
- Overnight : stay in Kandy.
Day 3 of 6
Misty Highlands & Ceylon Tea Estates
Drive up into the central highlands, winding past tea plantations and waterfalls. Visit a working tea estate and factory to learn how Ceylon tea is picked, processed, and graded, complete with a fresh tasting session. Continue toward Ella and visit the famous colonial-era Nine Arch Bridge.
- Morning: Scenic drive to Nuwara Eliya / Ella; tour of a tea factory and plantation.
- Afternoon: Visit to Nine Arch Bridge in Ella.
- Evening: Relaxed evening in Ella town.
- Overnight: Ella or Nuwara Eliya.
Day 4 of 6
Mountain Vistas & Descent to the Coast
Spend the morning taking a short hike up Little Adam's Peak for panoramic views over the Ella Gap. After descending from the hill country, drive down toward the southern coastline.
- Morning: Short hike up Little Adam's Peak.
- Afternoon: Scenic drive from the central highlands to the southern coast (Bentota, Mirissa, or Galle).
- Evening: Beachside dinner and relaxation.
- Overnight: Galle, Mirissa, or Bentota.
Day 5 of 6
Colonial Fort & Coastal Living
Spend a relaxed morning on the beach. In the afternoon, take a guided walk through Galle Dutch Fort, exploring its cobble-paved streets, boutique galleries, and historic ramparts overlooking the Indian Ocean.
- Morning: Free time for beach activities or water sports.
- Afternoon: Guided walking tour inside Galle Dutch Fort.
- Evening: Sunset walk along the fort ramparts and lighthouse.
- Overnight: Galle or Bentota.
Day 6 of 6
Colombo City Tour & Departure
Enjoy breakfast overlooking the ocean before starting the drive along the Southern Expressway toward Colombo. Depending on your flight schedule, take a quick orientation tour of Colombo for last-minute shopping or sightseeing before transfer to the airport.
- Morning: Expressway transfer to Colombo.
- Afternoon: Brief city orientation tour / souvenir shopping.
- Evening: Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure flight.
