Day 1 of 7
AIRPORT → SIGIRIYA
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) and meet your Serandiva Travels representative. Journey straight to the Cultural Triangle. In the late afternoon, ascend the magnificent 5th-century rock fortress of Sigiriya Lion Rock to enjoy panoramic sunset views over the jungle canopy.

Day 2 of 7
Cave Temples & The Hill Capital
Start the morning exploring the ancient rock caves at Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with intricate murals and Buddha statues. Afterwards, drive south toward Kandy, stopping at a spice garden en route. In the evening, visit Sri Dalada Maligawa (Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic) in time for the traditional drum ceremony.

Tea Country & The Scenic Train to Ella
Travel up into the central highlands through rolling tea plantations and cascading waterfalls. Visit a working tea factory to learn about Ceylon tea production. Board the iconic blue train from Nanu Oya to Ella—frequently rated one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world. Upon arrival in Ella, visit the iconic Nine Arch Bridge.

Mountain Views & Drive to Wildlife Country
Hike up Little Adam’s Peak in the morning for sweeping views of the Ella Gap. Afterwards, descend from the hill country down to the southern plains toward Yala National Park.
Day 5 of 7
Big Game Safari & Southern Coastline
Embark on an early morning 4x4 open-jeep safari through Yala National Park, home to Sri Lankan leopards, wild elephants, sloth bears, and diverse bird species. In the afternoon, head west along the scenic southern coastline to Mirissa Beach for beachside relaxation.

Colonial Heritage & Sunset Ramparts
Spend a slow morning by the beach or enjoying ocean activities. In the afternoon, drive to the historic Galle Dutch Fort. Stroll along the cobble-paved streets lined with Dutch-colonial boutique shops, cafes, and watch the sunset from the fort ramparts near the lighthouse.
Day 7 of 7
Coastal Drive & Departure
Enjoy breakfast with ocean views before starting the highway drive back toward Colombo or the airport. Depending on flight schedules, offer an optional short city tour of Colombo or last-minute souvenir shopping before airport drop-off.
